To the Glory of God: Joshua Olusanya Breaks Guinness World Record for Longest Trumpet Blow in 2024

At the July 2025 edition of the Power Must Change Hands program held at the Prayer City, Mr. Joshua Olusanya, a devoted member of Mountain of Fire and Miracles Ministries (MFM), shared a powerful testimony of perseverance, obedience, and divine intervention.

In 2024, Joshua participated in the Guinness World Record attempt for the longest trumpet blow. However, during the event, he was disqualified for drinking water—a setback that could have ended his pursuit. Refusing to give up, he sought spiritual counsel from the General Overseer of MFM, Dr. D.K. Olukoya.

During their meeting, Dr. Olukoya advised Joshua to cut off his dreadlocks as a spiritual step toward victory. Though the decision was difficult, with the encouragement of his parents and trust in God's servant, Joshua obeyed.

After following the instruction, Joshua returned to Dr. Olukoya, who prayed for him. That very night, Joshua had a dream in which he experienced deliverance. The next day, doors began to open—he received calls from multiple organizations expressing interest in partnering with him for the world record attempt.

At the event, Joshua played the trumpet non-stop for an astounding 25 hours and 20 minutes. After submitting the evidence—without even informing his team, to ensure full transparency—he received an email from Guinness World Records. Just three days later, he was officially approved and recognized as the World Record Holder for the Longest Trumpet Blow in 2024.

Today, he testifies that it was by divine instruction, perseverance, and the grace of God that he achieved this historic feat.
