The jollof wars between Ghana, Nigeria, and Senegal have been waging for years, with each country insisting theirs is the best.

American actress, Kerry Washington has reacted after she was asked to choose between Nigerian and Ghanaian jollof rice.

The jollof wars between Ghana, Nigeria, and Senegal have been waging for years, with each country insisting theirs is the best.

While attending an event, Kerry was asked to give her opinion and she said: "Don't bring me into this. Don't bring me into this."

She continued: "But of course anything Naija is going to be better. It's Naija. That is the truth."

Kerry Washington is married to a Nigerian man, former NFL player Nnamdi  Asomugha.

She disclosed during the interview that her husband and her co-star Omar C always have debates about Senegalese jollof vs Nigerian jollof.

She admitted that people say jollof originated from Senegal but her husband doesn't agree.

"Yeah, they do say that. But ask Nnamdi, he does not believe it," the actress said.
