Man Dies in Police Custody After Female Neighbor Allegedly Paid Officers to Discipline Him

The deceased was reportedly arrested at his residence in Chevron by officers from the Ikota Police Post in Lagos.

 
A Nigerian man has reportedly died after spending three days in police custody.
 
It was alleged that he was arrested by a female neighbour who paid officers money to teach him a lesson.
 
The revelation was made in a post on X.
 
X user, @mo__bolaji_ revealed that the deceased was reportedly arrested at his residence in Chevron by officers from the Ikota Police Post in Lagos.
 
He was allegedly detained without committing any offense and later died in police custody.
  
The post reads, “My brother was arrested at his residence in Chevron by officers from the Ikota Police Post in Lagos. He was detained without committing any offense and later died in their custody.”
 
“Instead of notifying his family, they took his body to Epe General Hospital mortuary and abandoned it. They tortured him before dumping his corpse on Tuesday, February 11, 2025.”
