New details have emerged on how popular Nigerian actor, Mr Ibu almost died but for the help of an American pop star.

It is widely accepted across the country that that comic actor,
John Okafor, popularly known as Mr. Ibu, is one of the funniest
comedians that Nigeria has ever produced.
In fact, most people, who have met the actor in person or seen him
in action, are willing to attest to the fact that nearly everything
about him, the way he carries himself, talks, even his gestures, compels
laughter.
However, nobody has ever heard that Mr. Ibu almost committed suicide at a point in his life. But that is the fact.
The actor himself revealed this part of his personal history when
he paid a surprise visit to the housemates in the ongoing Big Brother
Nigeria reality TV recently.
He told the shocked housemates that he was on the verge of
committing suicide and had made up his mind to die when he heard a song
titled, ‘When I am back on my feet again’, by American music star, Michael Bolton.
This saved him. He had to change his mind about his plans to kill himself.
