The real reason why American rappers, Nicki Minaj and Meek Mill went their separate ways has been revealed.

Rapper Nicki Minaj has confirmed that she is no longer dating
fellow singer Meek Mill. She made the announcement on her Twitter page
writing: 'To confirm, yes I am single.'
She continued: 'Focusing on my work and looking forward to sharing it with you guys really soon. Have a blessed New Year. Love u (sic)'
According to a report by TMZ, the two separated after a fight
during Nicki Minaj's birthday vacation at Turks and Caicos. It was
gathered that Nicki was angry because Meek was hanging with his friends
and not paying attention to her.
Nicki said she will now focus all her energy on her music. A report by Dailymail revealed that Meek Mill responded to the breakup announcement with a dig at the female rapper's fashion sense.
The rapper has since deleted the post that featured a white shoe. The caption read: "If you walk out don't wear these they wack...."
The wedged sneaker is the same one Nicki wore in the video for Ciara's 2013 breakup anthem, "I'm Out."
Rumors of their split started after she posted a cryptic message on
her Instagram account in December by quoting Beyonce's 2011 break-up
ballad 'Best Thing I Never Had'.
She wrote: 'Thank God u blew it. Thank God I dodged the bullet. I'm so over u. Baby good lookin out. #BestThingUNeverHad. (sic)'
The suspicious post lead to Meek - whose real name is Robert Rihmeek Williams - to delete his Instagram account completely.
