Wondering what those s*x dreams of you getting down and dirty
between the sheets with someone you least expect may mean, here is all
you need to know according to The Sun report.
It might be hot and steamy when you are asleep, but often that is where the fantasy stops.
Sex dreams are actually just your subconscious running wild and it
doesn’t mean you want to have sex with that person in real life.
But that doesn’t stop you feeling confused, and often embarrassed – so what do they mean?
Ian Wallace, a dream psychologist and author of The Top 100 Dreams:
The Dreams That We All Have and What They Really Mean, said: “All
dreams, even sex dreams, can be easily connected to things going on in
your life.
“And every character in your dream represents a small snippet of your own personality.”
He said just because someone pops up in a raunchy dream, it doesn’t mean you want to be intimate with them.
Instead, that person probably has an admiral personality trait you are drawn to, such as kindness or leadership skills.
Here is what it means when you have a sex dream about…
Your boss
Relax, you don’t need to go to work red-faced on a Monday morning,
sex dreams about a boss may be the most common sex dream, says Ian.
“Sure, you may be sexually attracted to your boss, but if
you’re having sex with him in a dream, your subconscious is probably
becoming aware of your own ability to make decisions and act as a
leader,” he told Everyday Health.
Your friend
Your friend likely has a talent that you admire, you don’t actually want to sleep with them.
Ian said: “People often tell me, ‘I have a friend. He’s ugly; he kind of smells — but I keep dreaming about sex with him. Am I mad?
“Quit the worrying. He probably has some talent (his karaoke skills?) that your subconscious is working to develop.”
The person you have a crush on
This doesn’t seem like a bad one, especially if you know you have feelings for the person.
But Ian says while it is easy to assume it is because you want to have sex with that person, it doesn’t mean it is all physical.
He said: “But you’re actually being drawn to one of his emotional or spiritual qualities.”
Your ex
Not something you want to wake up to.
You probably had your fair share of fun in the bedroom while you were dating, but why does it keep cropping up?
Ian’s advice: If you are dreaming about an ex it is because you are unknowingly repeating bad habits from a failed relationship.
So it is kind of a warning dream.
Your partner straying with someone else
Don’t worry, it is not a premonition.
In fact, this has more to do with you than them.
Ian said: “When you dream that your partner is having an
affair, it may mean that you’re losing faith in your own abilities or
attractiveness.”
A stranger
Having a s*x dream with a faceless person can be unnerving.
But it is all about your subconscious telling you to unmask a talent you have been hiding.
“When people have s*x dreams about strangers, the unknown person is often wearing a mask or has no face,” Ian said.
A family member
This one will make you feel like you need to shower multiple times,
but it is not as gross as it sounds. In fact, it is completely normal
according to Ian. It all comes down to the person you dreamt about
having an admiral quality – there is nothing more to it.
