A man who attempted to snatch a lady's hand bag which allegedly contains some money, was nabbed by an angry mob who stripped him unclad and beat him to stupor.

For allegedly snatching a woman’s handbag on Wednesday in the Gwagwalada area of federal capital territory, Abuja, a middle-aged man, identified as Daniel, was beaten and stripped n*ked by angry mob.
 
According to a report by DailyTrust, a witness disclosed that the incident happened in the morning at the SDP Junction, adding that the suspect followed the woman who carried a baby on her back on a motorcycle after she withdrew money from a bank in the area.
 
He said that the woman alighted from the motorcycle and she was about to pay the commercial motorcyclist, when the man snatched her handbag and took to his heels but some motorcyclists pursued him and arrested him.
 
“Some motorcyclists went after him, caught him and started beating him. They removed his clothes and left him on the ground,” he said.
