Jubilation as Jonathan's Kinsmen Break 25-year-old Jinx...See Interesting Details

Finally, through the help of former President Goodluck Jonathan, his kinsmen have broken a 25-year-old jinx sending the community in jubilation.

It is goodnews for the people of Ogbia Kingdom of Bayelsa State, as former President Goodluck Ebele Jonathan's brother is crowned as the new Obanobhan of Ogbia Kingdom.
 
The event took place on Saturday which brought to an end the decades of kingship tussle that rocked the ancient Kingdom.
 
According to Punch, at the venue of the coronation, indigenes and residents alike erupted in ecstasy and inexplicable joy as the new Obanobhan of Ogbia, His Royal Majesty, King Damaru Owaba, was crowned the superior monarch of the kingdom.
 
The Bayelsa State Council of Traditional Rulers, representatives of the state government, some members of the National Assembly, prominent indigenes from the kingdom and in the diaspora, among others, witnessed the coronation of Owaba, the report states.
 
According to reports, Jonathan was said to have played a major role in the resolution of the conflict. that has rocked the community for two and a half decades.
Speaking on the emergence of the overall king of the kingdom, the National Chairman,  Ogbia Brotherhood, Chief Benson Agadaga, said that with the election of King Owaba, “the impossible has been made possible”.
 
Agadaga, a two-time commissioner in the state, said, “The 25-year-old jinx of aborted exercises in getting an overall king for the people has been broken. The dividing walls in Ogbia land, emanating from the Obanobhan tussle, have been pulled down.

“The several litigation, police cases and controversies surrounding the throne for over two decades have been cast into the abyss of no return. It is a thing of joy that all outstanding court cases were withdrawn before the coronation.

“Today,  Ogbia is sitting with one voice to peacefully adopt a leader to occupy the ancient throne of Obanobhan, which is the highest traditional stool of the people.”
