Uniben students protest over the death of a student........

The students led by the President of the Student
Union Government, Comrade Omorogbe, are
demanding for a pedestrian bridge across the road,
and a speed breaker on the 8-lane road to prevent a
recurrence of such an incident.
They insisted that compensation should be given to
the families of the victim within seven days; else
they will embark on another protest.

Travellers are said to be stranded on the road, as
the aggrieved students were determined to get a
positive response from necessary authorities.
While addressing the protesting student, the Dean
of Student Affairs, Professor Francis Osagiede,
assured them that the university authority would
look into their demands as soon as possible.uniben lost a 200 level philosophy student named AWELE RITA HALIM who was knocked down by an ARMY VEHICLE while crossing the UNIBEN main gate ugbowo on  sunday 19th july 2015 at 10:15am. Some soldiers came to uniben hall of residence popularly known as hall 3 to appeal to the student not to protest but the students refused.
